As an aspiring singer, songwriter, and actress Jordyn Simone has been developing, refining, and honing her talent ever since she first began to sing in her Youth Gospel choir at the age of 5. Born into a musical household in Los Angeles California, Jordyn Simone found inspiration to sing through her father, a vocalist and saxophone player as well as her mother, a piano player. Her sound is molded by her love of R&B and pop artists such as Christina Aguilera, Jill Scott, and John Legend but she also stays true to her roots in Gospel by accepting invitations to perform songs at multiple churches throughout Southern California.

She developed her aspiration for musical theatre at the age of 7 when she became a member of the Amazing Grace Conservatory (AGC), a Los Angeles based performing arts training program that specializes in acting, voice, and dance. At the age of 12, Jordyn Simone received her first starring role in AGC's production of Wicked, competing against 17 and 18-year-olds in the process.

Jordyn Simone is currently a student at the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. As a member of the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, she has performed at multiple iconic venues throughout California. In March 2015, 2016 and 2017, she competed in the Next Generation Jazz Festival where over 1,300 of the nation’s top student musicians and vocal groups performed. While her jazz ensemble won first place in the competition, Jordyn Simone received the “Top Artist Award” for all three years. As a result, the Vocal Jazz Ensemble earned an invitation to perform at the legendary Monterey Jazz Festival and the Playboy Jazz Festival during the summer of 2015 and has recently been booked for this upcoming summer 2018!

To say it simply, music runs in the blood of self-proclaimed "genre-less" artist Jordyn Simone. Based out of LA, she grew up hitting gospel high notes with her parents and has competed at the highest level of singing competitions like The Voice and American Idol. In addition to her immense technical skill, she has developed a unique sound that seems to touch the very soul of listeners with deeply reflective, personal lyrics. Jordyn once again shows her incredibly mature talent on her new single "Drown", which sees her speak on womanhood and the sensuality that comes with growing into your true self.

Inspired by a summer romance last July, "Drown" oozes with a sultry self-confidence. Overtop of a layered guitar riff, the production allows room for Jordyn to step into the spotlight and display her impressive lyrical abilities detailing the emotions that come with vulnerable self-expression and female empowerment. Listeners not only come away falling in love with Jordyn, but so too find themselves reflecting on the importance of loving oneself as well.

Mature beyond her years and in the greatest city in the world for music, there's truly nothing stopping Jordyn from developing into the industry-shaking artist that she so clearly could be.
